Billing & Insurance
Medical Arts Radiology works with an extensive network of insurance and managed care organizations. However it is your responsibility to understand whether your insurance has limits on the doctors you can see, or the services you can receive. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be responsible for co-payments, co-insurance, or other deductible amounts. Click here for a complete list of participating insurance companies.
Prior to your appointment, determine if your plan requires pre-authorization for the study you need to have performed. Radiology services that usually require pre-authorization include: CT scan, MRI, MRA, PET/CT scan, and Nuclear Medicine exams.
The authorization number is obtained by the physician who is referring you for the test. Failure to obtain this authorization many result in non-reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Specific questions regarding your policy should be directed to your insurance carrier as plans vary.
At the time of your visit, it is your responsibility to present your current insurance card for photocopying, as well as your copayment. In addition, for workers compensation and automobile injuries, bring your claim number, date of injury, insurance information and name and address of your attorney.
If you do not have medical insurance and are concerned about paying for your procedure, we will work with you in setting up a payment plan. Medical Arts Radiology also accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Please call the billing department for further information.
Please contact our billing office or call your insurance carrier should you have claims questions. The billing department at Medical Arts Radiology can be reached at 631-666-5620, Monday through Friday 8am-9pm.
