Dr. Charles Jungreis is a New York, New York native. He completed his graduate degree at SUNY Medical School. His residency in general surgery was done at Staten Island Hospital, followed by a residency in radiology at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Jungreis gained experience in radiography and pathology correlations at the Armed Forces Institute in 1984 and as a neuroradiology fellow at NYU Medical Center.

Dr. Jungreis has served on the staff of several universities in various capacities, most recently as Professor of Radiology at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 2003 through June 2015 and W. Edward Chamberland Professor of Diagnostic Imaging from 2009 through June 2015. Prior to that, he was Professor of Radiology and Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and maintains memberships in many professional associations, including:
